The reinforced components of the DT Swiss HU 1900 SPLINE have been designed, developed and tested to meet the special requirements of wheels for e-touring bikes. With an approved maximum system weight of 180 kg, these wheels are built to last and ensure drive and braking torque strength, especially at higher total weight.

Durable reliability
The Hybrid Utility wheels thus set the standard for a durable wheelset suitable for urban and trekking use, as e-touring wheels in particular are increasingly capable of carrying heavier loads, are ridden over longer distances and often in daily use.
Reliability
Aside from providing the legendary sound of DT Swiss rear hubs, the toothed disc is also responsible for the valued reliability of the freewheel system. Compared to pawl freewheel hubs, the ratchet system offers superior meshing reliability due to a larger area of contact surface. Forces can be distributed evenly over larger areas and smaller peak loads are achieved. The result is greater reliability and longer life – allowing riders to focus on what matters most.
Tubeless technology
Tubeless tires offer several key advantages over the traditional tire and tube combination. The tire can be run at lower pressure without risking “snakebites,” providing more grip. The lower pressure also provides a more comfortable ride. Eliminating the tube means there is no friction between the tube and tire, and therefore less rolling resistance when riding off-road and over obstacles.
Pro Lock technology
The DT Pro Lock spoke nipples prevent an independent loosening of the spoke-nipple connection. A patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, which allows the construction of extremely durable wheels. Once the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and then fully cures. A repeated re-centering is possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
