Ahead control sets are divided into the “classic” type, the so-called semi-integrated “press fit” and the fully integrated “drop in” control sets. In the “classic” version, the bearings are located outside the head tube. With “Press Fit” and “Drop In” headsets, the bearings are located inside the head tube, which results in a lower overall height. In contrast to “Press Fit” head sets, “Drop In” head sets no longer have to be pressed in as usual. The running surfaces are already incorporated in the 36° or 45° head tube.
