The legendary Vivid shock has evolved to push the boundaries of Downhill, E-MTB and Enduro bikes again. In terms of smoothness and reliability, the Vivid air suspension behaves almost like a steel spring and maximizes the fine-tuning potential to match positive air volume to virtually any bike thanks to technology. More mid-stroke support and improved responsiveness provide an unparalleled ride experience on the Trail.

The necessary confidence in technical terrain is ensured by intuitive tunability and the position-dependent damping system, which responds sensitively and unfolds its supportive effect in a stable manner over the entire suspension travel. To be able to respond to any track, the rebound damping as well as High Speed and Low Speed compression damping are independently adjustable. While the easily adjustable -lever provides more efficiency when pedaling, the hydraulic takes on the hard hits in the last 20 % of the spring travel to.

What sets the Vivid apart from a steel spring shock is the highly tunable air spring with DebonAir technology. Its higher volume not only gives a more linear, consistent feel, but also improves sensitivity to small shocks. The air suspension responds sensitively while providing mid-stroke support and comfortable resistance to potential bottoming out at the end of the stroke. Adding Bottomless Tokens can create more Bottom Out resistance, while removing it allows full use of the suspension travel.

TouchDown technology bypasses main piston compression damping in the first 10 % of travel for a smooth response. Suppressing vibration, however, is just the beginning. To handle rough terrain, the next 70 % of travel is damped by controlled and stable compression damping. In addition to the adaptability of TouchDown technology, adjustable hydraulic Bottom Out (AHBO) allows the suspension to tune for the hard hits in the last 20 % of travel.

A true powerhouse, the Vivid Ultimate rear shock doubles its reliability and longevity by extending routine service intervals from 50 to 100 hours per mile. The Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube ensures that the Vivid’s performance and smooth ride feel are maintained longer, even in the toughest conditions – for more time on the Trail and not on the assembly stand.

The position-dependent TouchDown damping system ensures that the rear shock responds slightly at the beginning of the travel, while remaining quiet in the middle and end of the stroke. Each stage of the suspension transitions seamlessly to the next, leaving only the exhilarating feeling at the end of the descent. With comfort, confidence and control, the TouchDown damper balances everything from a slight jerk to a long jump.

The AHBO increases compression damping in the last 20 % of travel. However, how much damping the hydraulic Bottom Out provides is entirely up to the rider. The key to customization is an adjustable knob with five different options for adjusting compression. A wider rebound gradation also allows optimal alignment with the kinematics of different frames.

The Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube is characterized by its friction-reducing effect. In addition, the lubricant convinces with properties that not only extend the durability of the fork, but also improve its performance.
